As reported by The Express, Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is a summer transfer target for English Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Armstrong’s contract at the Hoops runs out next year, meaning this could be the only chance Celtic have of getting some value out of an outgoing transfer deal, with the prospect of him signing a new deal seeming unlikely.
A huge part of Brendan Rodgers ‘Invincibles’ side in 2016/17, Armstrong’s role in the starting eleven at Celtic Park has diminished with the emergence of Olivier Ntcham and Callum McGregor as the midfield’s top performers alongside captain Scott Brown.
That may be the reason why some Hoops supporters would be happy to see him leave this summer, with others more than happy for him to stay too, remembering the kind of impact he can make from midfield.
Will he end up leaving Glasgow this summer?

Stuart Armstrong being linked with Palace today 😫 don’t leave – follow the wizard and commit for 4/5 years 🙏🏻 #Celtic

Never gives the impression he wants to stay and is either injured or off form too many time’s. There is a great player in there somewhere too just not happened for him.

Armstrong should look at Joe Ledley’s career after he left Celtic for Palace. It went downhill & his will go the same way…shame but we have plenty of midfielders anyway…..bye bye..HH.

Are you sure it’s Armstrong stalling or is it just his agent doing his job? Getting the best deal for his client? Wasn’t Rigic ‘stalling’ before he signed too? If we can get a deal done I’d keep him.
