Kris Commons has left Celtic to join Scottish Championship side Hibernian on an emergency loan, initially for just a month. However, having not played a single game under Brendan Rodgers it seems likely he's played his last game for Celtic.

The move sees him link up with former boss Neil Lennon who often managed to get the very best out of the former Derby, Nottingham Forest & Stoke City man.

Kris Commons has been at Celtic for close to five years and has made an exceptional impact on Scottish football over the the piece.

Often deployed in an attacking midfield role behind the striker, the former Scotland international scored 91 goals in 227 appearances for the Glasgow club. Quite a return for what was reported to be a transfer that cost Celtic just £300,000.

His finest season in a Celtic shirt came in 2013/14 when he won both the Scottish Players' Player of the Year award and the Scottish Football Writers' Player of the Year award. That was the year he scored a phenomenal 32 goals in 46 appearances for the Hoops.

No wonder then that he became a favourite of the fans and, today recognising he likely won't play for their club again, Celtic supporters have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on his departure and their favourite memories of his time in Glasgow.
