Celtic came from behind to move 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table on Sunday afternoon, meaning they are well on track for a ninth straight league title.
Neil Lennon’s side eased to a 3-1 victory against Kilmarnock after the visitors netted an early 6th-minute penalty.
Goals from Kristoffer Ajer, Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths sealed all three points at Celtic Park.
But it wasn’t any of these three players that received glowing praise from fans after the match, but instead, it was left-back Greg Taylor, who was making only his 12th SPFL appearance of the season.
Here’s what has been said…
Not bad, works hard and seems to progress with every game imo.

Quality addition, still only 22 could be outstanding, very shrewd peice of business.

12 games 4 assists , he’s also been involved in goals , he was involved in the second goal , his cross today was perfect 👌 I also like how he picks out a player in the middle and opens the defence , still a lot more to come from him but I’m impressed so far.

Grafter, which we love to see. Given time in the team, he will be a great player. 🍀
— Terence Kelly (@TerenceKellySnr) February 24, 2020
There were a range of superlatives used to describe the 22-year-old, including “grafter, “talented,” and “outstanding” whilst one supporter tipped the defender to become a stalwart at the club.
Another fan claimed he was progressing with every single game and that he would only improve under the current coaching staff.
It has led to many more suggesting that he’s their best option at left-back with more raving endorsements backing the Scotland international.
Lennon is also able to call upon Boli Bolingoli and Jonny Hayes in the role, but it is Taylor who is seemingly getting the nod in the eyes of the Bhoys faithful.
Wee guy is coming along fine growing game by game . The position is his to lose coz bolingoli is a disaster of a player . hopefully GT carries on getting better

Best LB we have. Loads of potential and I for one am happy with what I see…☘☘☘
— Des (@johndes123) February 23, 2020
Excellent , getting better & better, boli is done
— Gav (@Gavin63455270) February 23, 2020
Much better than Boli.
— McCeltic 1888 (@McCeltic1888) February 24, 2020
Our most solid LB option.. Boli can be hit or miss and Hayes whilst giving 100% just doesn’t have the quality.
— Belfast Bhoy (@BxlfastBhoy) February 24, 2020
Bolingoli was described as a “disaster” of a footballer while a further supporter suggested that Taylor was a much better option than the “hit or miss” Belgian.
His potential was also noted with one fan believing he has a great future ahead – might he become as good as Tosh McKinlay for the Scottish giants? This member of the Hoops crowd certainly thinks so…
Outstanding. Reminds me of Tosh McKinlay. Great delivery and hard worker.
— Andy McCabe🍀🏴🇮🇪🇦🇺🇵🇸 (@amccabe4) February 24, 2020
McKinlay enjoyed a five-year spell at Celtic Park back in the late nineties and was a regular presence until he was displaced by Stephane Mahe before joining Stoke City on loan.
And in other news, Celtic fans react to journalist’s surprise claim about Fraser Forster…
