As Celtic hone in on a ninth successive Scottish Premiership title, their reserved have edged closer to glory too after reaching the SPFL Reserve Cup final this week.

The young Bhoys defeated Hibernian 4-1 at their training ground Lennoxtown with the likes of Hatem Abd Elhamed and Patryk Klimala featuring.

But the player who has impressed the Hoops faithful the most appears to be teen starlet Karamoko Dembele after he notched a brace in the match.

The 17-year-old has featured just three times for the senior side, twice this season as he enjoyed short cameo spells in the Europa League against Cluj and in the top-flight against Ross County.

And plenty of supporters would love to see him involved more often.

Here's what has been said...

The calls for him to be part of Neil Lennon's first-team setup were neverending - one supporter asked the boss to "unleash" the young winger on the SPFL whilst another claimed he was on fire for the reserves.

A further fan even questioned if there was any harm in sticking him on the bench considering the vast number of defensive options they had on it last time out against Kilmarnock.

Dembele's display on Monday has caused fans to describe him in glowing light as he was called "generational" as well as "mercurial."

With Celtic 12 points clear in the SPFL and still in the Europa League knockout stages, there must surely be a good chance that the starlet is given an opportunity amongst the senior set-up sometime soon.
