Celtic fans on Twitter were understandably fuming after the Bhoys fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Hibernian on Sunday, and much of their discontent was directed at striker Odsonne Edouard.

The result means that Celtic are third in the Scottish Premier League table, having lost for the third time in the competition.

Brendan Rodgers' side were behind against Hibs after just 46 seconds, as Vykintas Slivka swept the ball past Craig Gordon in the Celtic net. The home side then doubled their advantage mid-way through the second half, with Florian Kamberi adding the finish to a swift counter attack.

With Celtic 2-0 down, Edouard was booked for diving having gone down on the edge of the box, and his overall performance was poor considering the club-record £9m fee that was shelled out to sign him from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The 20-year-old has recorded 13 goals and four assists in all competitions so far this season, but it seems as though many Celtic fans don't believe he is the man who should be leading their line.
