Loads of Celtic fans have been discussing the future of Dedryck Boyata, after the defender scored the only goal in the Hoops’ 1-0 win over Hamilton.

It’s been a bit of a topsy-turvy start to the season for Brendan Rodgers and Celtic, and fans are absolutely desperate for a new signing at centre back.

While no one is particularly fond of the “like a new signing” cliché, that’s exactly what Boyata could be, as the Belgian buried the game’s only goal in Sunday’s win.

The defender blotted his copybook when he ruled himself out of the Champions League clash in Athens, claiming he was injured.

The fans unveiled a banner reading “not fit to wear the shirt” regarding those attempts to force a move away from the club, and a goal and three points is probably just about the only way to win them back.

Fans are now split on his future, as some suspect he may have been misguided by a greedy agent.

Others are slightly less forgiving though, so it may take a few more winning goals before the 27 year-old is in everyone’s good books again.
