Loads of Celtic fans have been running the rule over their youth side’s impressive victory on Tuesday, and they want to see more of Mikey Johnston in the first team.

Celtic will expect to win their eighth title in a row this weekend, despite knowing full well how difficult a trip to Pittodrie can be.

And if the Hoops do wrap up the league on Saturday, we could see some changes in the last few games after the youth side beat Rangers 3-2 in the Glasgow Cup final on Tuesday.

Jack Aitchison opened the scoring before Johnston doubled the lead with a fantastic free kick, but Glenn Middleton responded for the Gers with a second-half brace, which included a wondergoal of his own.

Robbie Deas netted a stoppage time winner to settle the final 3-2 in favour of the Hoops, but it is Johnston that is getting all the praise.

The 20 year-old managed three goals in 24 appearances for the senior side before being relegated back to the youngsters, and the Twitter reactions down below are begging to get him more opportunities…
