Loads of Celtic fans are calling for a rather surprising transfer move, after Erik Sviatchenko said he would love to return to Celtic.

Celtic have steadied the ship after a somewhat rocky start to the season, particularly in Europe, but they are still crying out for another centre back.

Loan signing Filip Benkovic has been absolutely fantastic, but neither of Kristoffer Ajer or Jack Hendry have shown any signs of reaching their potential, and Dedryck Boyata could leave as early as January.

Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he's still got it! Check out the video below...

Sviatchenko made 42 league appearances during his first spell with the Bhoys, scoring three times, and has spoken candidly about the decision to leave the club earlier this year.

“My dream would be to play for Celtic again,” he said.

“But it's not up to me. It's up to the manager and the board. They know me and they know what I am capable of. I feel I didn't really say a proper goodbye to Glasgow.”

The 27 year-old won two league titles in Glasgow, and it’s safe to say his replacement, Marvin Compper, has been a downgrade rather than an upgrade.

Plenty of fans feel the same way, and they are urging Brendan Rodgers to go back for Sviatchenko in January.
