Celtic fans were not impressed with Jack Hendry’s Champions League display

Celtic defender Jack Hendry lined up at right-back in his side’s 3-0 Champions League qualifying win against Alashkert on Tuesday night, and lots of Bhoys fans were not impressed with his performance.

The 23-year-old only joined the Scottish Premiership champions from Dundee during the January transfer window, but he made just 12 appearances from them until the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

The versatile defender, who can play as a centre-back or full-back, still has four years left on his contract at Celtic Park, and it will be interesting to see how Brendan Rodgers, who should make signing an Everton attacker a priority if the Toffees buy Wilfried Zaha, plans to utilise him this term.

Lots of Celtic supporters were quick to react to Hendry’s latest display via social media, and while one said “Hendry is NOT Celtic quality”, another said “Jack Hendry will never ever be good enough for Celtic”.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
