Celtic are ‘in discussions’ with Dunfermline over the possibility of signing young striker Paul-Joseph Crossan, according to the Courier.
A transfer fee is yet to be agreed between the two clubs, but the Bhoys are keen on him.
The Pars have signed striker Gavin Reilly on a one-year loan deal from Hearts, and he looks likely to be the replacement for Crossan as the Hoops seek finalise a deal for the player.
The 17-year-old broke into the Dunfermline first-team last season, making two appearances in League One, scoring one goal.
Crossan can also play in an attacking midfield role, but his strongest position is as a main striker.
The former Scotland U-17 international spent most of last season in the Dunfermline’s U-20 side, but his two brief appearances, which totalled just 28 minutes, must have convinced the Celtic scouts that he has a promising future ahead of him.
