Celtic star expected to move to Fenerbahce this summer

Celtic centre back Efe Ambrose is the subject of interest from Turkish club Fenerbahce, according to the Sunday Post.

The Nigerian has a year left on his contract and has played 31 times in all competitions this season, but isn’t expected to be offered a new deal with the Scottish club looking to move the player on rather than allowing him to leave for nothing next summer.

The 27 year old’s departure is expected to be a start of a summer clear-out by new manager Brendan Rodgers, who will need to move players out as well as bringing in any new signings because of the bloated size of the squad left by previous manager Ronny Deila.

Players such as Nadir Ciftci and Stefan Scepovic, currently out on loan at Eskisehirspor and Getafe respectively, are not expected to return to Celtic Park and could be moved on along with a number of other players as the new manager makes his mark on the squad.
