Celtic will offer young full back Kieran Tierney a new five-year contact, according to the Scottish Sun.
The 18 year old has broken through into the Scottish club’s first-team this season and although he has three years left on his current deal, they want to ensure he isn’t tempted by a move away from Celtic Park.
Liverpool have been linked with the defender in recent weeks but after winning the Scottish Young Player of the Year award, Tierney expressed his desire to stay at his boyhood club for the long term.
Bhoys manager Ronny Deila plucked Tierney from relative obscurity to give him his first team debut last April.
At the time, the youngster wasn’t even a regular for the Under-20 side but the player his repaid his manager with a string of good performances this campaign, displacing stalwart Emilio Izaguirre as first choice in the left back position.
