Celtic are being linked with a move for Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor.
The League Two star was connected with the Scottish Champions in early May but according to the Glasgow Evening Times, Taylor may well still be on the club’s radar.
The 26-year-old started his career at Oxford United, but after two seasons and several substitute appearances, he moved to non-league side North Leigh.
In just two seasons at the Southern League side, he scored a staggering 80 goals and attracted the interest of several Conference sides.
He joined Forest Green Rovers in 2011 and went on to score 10 and 11 goals in his first two seasons in the Conference.
After struggling in his third season, he was sent out on loan to Chester where he impressed enough to get a recall to Forest Green’s first-team.
He failed to score on his return to the club though and was sold to Bristol Rovers in 2014.
After shooting Rovers to promotion from the Conference in 2015, he helped the side to a second successive promotion from League Two last season, scoring 27 league goals, earning a spot in the division’s Team of the Year in the process.
