Celtic have officially completed the £3.5m signing of Patryk Klimala on a four-and-a-half year deal.

The Poland U21 striker is the club's first signing of the January window and fans will naturally be intrigued by how heavily he can contribute in the final months of the season.

Prior to his arrival, Klimala scored seven goals in 17 appearances in Poland's top-flight - a record that has left some fans questioning his ability to succeed in Scotland.

However, that the newly recruited Bhoy has previously been tipped by the former Celtic man Maciej Zurawski to eventually succeed Robert Lewandowski at the spearhead of Poland's attack suggests he could become a real asset at Paradise.

Shortly after the deal was confirmed, Klimala took to Instagram to announce the transfer to his social media following, with a grinning Peter Lawwell pictured alongside him.

Celtic's chief executive is a relatively divisive figure in Glasgow and he will certainly come under scrutiny if the decision to sign Klimala backfires.

Aptly pictured in front of a brimming trophy cabinet, the 6ft forward will desperately be hoping he can help the Hoops clinch their 9th and 10th consecutive SPFL titles by the summer of 2021.
