Celtic booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup courtesy of a 3-0 win over Clyde on Sunday afternoon.

Olivier Ntcham, Scott Brown and Vakoun Bako scored the goals for the Hoops, who will take on St Johnstone in the last eight of the competition.

However, it was the performance of  6ft 5 colossus Christoper Jullien at the heart of the defence that caught the attention of a number of the club's supporters, and they flocked to Twitter to respond to the player's social media post in the aftermath of proceedings.

The 26-year-old has now made 38 appearances for Neil Lennon's side this term, scoring six goals in all competitions in the process, and his display has been widely praised by a number of the fans.

Meanwhile, others were simply keen to pay tribute to the Frenchman in general due to his impressive form throughout the season.

Another supporter called for Jullien, who arrived at the Hoops from Toulouse in last summer's transfer window, to "never leave".

Upon signing a four-year contract with the club, the Frenchman revealed that he wanted to leave a legacy at Celtic Park.

Meanwhile, a number of other Celtic fans have also been on social media lavishing praise on another of their club's players.
