While the attention is understandably on the other game in group C, Celtic and Borussia Monchengladbach face-off in Glasgow. With only one point between them from the opening two rounds of matches, this double-header will likely see one of the two sides eliminated from the Champions League.
Monchengladbach have fallen to two defeats in their opening two games, while Celtic’s admirable point earned against Manchester City gives them hope of progression if the Citizens cannot get a positive result against Barcelona. The German side have had a disappointing league campaign so far, which sees them sitting in mid-table in the Bundesliga.
As ever, Celtic are dominating the Scottish Premier League and have looked a rejuvenated side under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers. Attacking football is a guarantee and we are set up to have a cracker on our hands at Celtic Park.
With kick-off looming, let’s check out tonight’s line-ups…
