Hartson names ideal tactic for Rangers clash

Rangers’ return to the SPL this season has seen us blessed with the Old Firm derby once again and Celtic are set to clash with their arch-rivals on New Year’s Eve.

In the second Old Firm clash of the SPL season, Rangers will be keen for revenge after being torn apart by the Bhoys back in September, with young Moussa Dembele netting a hat-trick in a thrilling 5-1 victory for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

With Dembele in form and Leigh Griffiths excelling in recent weeks, Rodgers has been presented with a problem about who to deploy for the mammoth clash to end 2016 but Celtic legend John Hartson has the solution up his sleeve.

Starting both Griffiths and Dembele would give Celtic a formidable strike force but Rodgers would have to readjust his tactics, dropping one of his regular midfielders to field a two-man attack.

With Celtic also defeating Rangers 1-0 in the Scottish League Cup semi-final this year, the Bhoys have won four consecutive Old Firm derbies since losing at the Ibrox in March 2012.
