Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic only signed a new long-term deal with the club in May, and while he has been something of a regular in the Scottish Premiership for the Bhoys so far this season, his performances more than suggest that his spot in the starting XI should be under threat.
The Australia international showed the quality that he brings to the Glasgow giants with eight goals and a further nine assists in 41 appearances in all competitions for his team last term, but he has made something of a slow start to the current campaign having featured for his country at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The 25-year-old has two goals but no assists in nine outings so far this season, and the 1-0 Old Firm derby win against Rangers at Celtic Park on Sunday was just another example of where he struggled to make a real impact on the match.
Meanwhile, Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers brought Eboue Kouassi to Scotland for £3m on a four-year contract from Russian club Krasnodar in January 2017, but he has made just 19 appearances since then having obviously failed to do enough to warrant more time on the pitch.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder clearly has some talent given Celtic splashed out on him, and if the Ivorian came into the side it would allow Olivier Ntcham, who is contributing goals and assists more regularly than perhaps would have been expected given his usually deep-lying midfield position, an opportunity to push forward into Rogic’s more advanced role.
