HYS: Should Celtic sign Odsonne Edouard this summer?

Celtic fans are still digesting a momentous victory against Rangers on Sunday after they thrashed their bitter rivals 5-0 to secure a seventh successive league title.

The Hoops have dished out some brutal beatings to the Light Blues in recent seasons but none have been quite as dominant as yesterday’s humiliation.

On-loan striker Odsonne Edouard was at the heart of it all, scoring the first two goals and providing an assist for the fourth to send Celtic Park wild with celebration.

The Frenchman now has 11 goals this season, five of which have come in his last seven games, and he looks to be improving all the time in Brendan Rodgers’ first team.

In his post-match comments, the Celtic boss stated there was a “very, very good chance” that they could sign him permanently this summer, with terms yet to be fully agreed with his parent club Paris Saint-Germain.

What it would cost to bring him to Celtic Park in the summer is unknown but The Daily Mail previously reported in January that the fee is close to £7m, something that Rodgers later disputed.

It’s clear though that it would take a significant fee to land him.

Should Celtic splash the cash and sign Edouard this summer?
