After another successful treble-winning season, Celtic will likely be linked with a whole host of names during the summer transfer window, some of which will be more realistic targets than others.

One name linked that is towards the more bizarre end of the rumour mill is Swansea City attacker Jordan Ayew.

Reported to have an asking price of £14m, the Hoops have been named alongside the likes of Liverpool as one of the teams interested in doing a deal for the Ghanaian international.

It takes only a passing knowledge of Celtic to know that they would likely never pay such a fee for a player, despite their resources. It would more than double their current transfer record and the club have prided themselves on being frugal and shrewd operators in the transfer market in recent years.

Still, is Ayew a player they should be considering if he's available for a more reasonable fee? The player scored 11 goals for Swansea in all competitions last season and despite being unable to help them avoid relegation, could be a hit in the Scottish Premiership.

Should they make an attempt to sign him, or is this one too unrealistic for the club to be distracted with?
