When an horrendous Scott McKenna challenge - which somehow went unpunished by referee Bobby Madden - forced Odsonne Edouard off in Celtic’s last match, it was Scott Sinclair who replaced him from the bench. The former Manchester City attacker proved decisive in the match against Aberdeen when he scored just after the hour mark, ultimately sealing a much-needed 1-0 win for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

Rodgers has already stated that he believes Edouard “should be okay for Thursday”, as reported by the Daily Record. Thursday, of course, marks the reigning Scottish champion’s Europa League clash with Red Bull Salzburg.

Even if the French striker is fit though, Sinclair ought to retain his place in the starting XI, even if someone else has to miss out in order to accommodate both Edouard and the Englishman. Sinclair has been a star player for the Bhoys since his arrival in 2016, and his decisive impact against Aberdeen suggested that the 29-year-old could be getting back to his best.

What do you think, Celtic fans - would you be happy to see Sinclair included from the off against Salzburg?
