Manchester City have been scouting Celtic left back Kieran Tierney, the Daily Mail are reporting.
City’s scouts were at Hampden Park to watch the 18-year-old play in Celtic’s shootout defeat to Old Firm rivals Rangers in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.
Tierney, who was one of the few players to perform admirably for Celtic, has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks, and with scouts from City now casting their eye over the full back, the chase for the youngster is now hotting up.
The Scotland international (who was born on the Isle of Man), is rated highly by Celtic and was recently talked up by club legend Kenny Dalglish, who claimed the youngster has the potential to play in the Premier League.
Since making his debut for Celtic last April, Tierney has become a regular in Ronny Deila’s side, making 28 appearances for the Hoops in all competitions this season.
