Revealed: 49% of Celtic fans choose centre back as top January priority

Loads of Celtic fans have been discussing their needs in the January transfer market, and it’s pretty clear the focus must be on the defence.

Celtic have a bit of a catastrophic transfer window, losing two key first team players and failing to replace them.

However, the Bhoys don’t seem to be missing either of Moussa Dembele or Stuart Armstrong too much.

The defence is where most of the problems this season have come from, as neither of Jack Hendry or Kristoffer Ajer have developed like Brendan Rodgers would have wanted.

The gaffer has been forced to stick with contract holdout Dedryck Boyata, and it’s fair to say the Belgian has not let the controversy surrounding his future effect his performances.

Still, the 27 year-old could leave in January, and 49 per cent of fans think a new centre back should be their top priority in January.

43 per cent voted for full back, which could be bad news for the ageing Mikael Lustig.

You can view the full poll results down below, could this be the end of Boyata at Celtic?
