Celtic head into Thursday’s opening Europa League group game with Rosenborg off the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw with St Mirren, and the majority of fans that answered our poll want Brendan Rodgers to bring in Scott Sinclair against the Norwegian champions.
There is no doubt that Sinclair would offer more of a goal threat than the Bhoys carried on Friday evening in the Scottish Premier League clash, and he could fit perfectly into one of the two roles behind the striker that are essential in Rodgers’ 3-4-2-1 formation.
The 29-year-old has been at the Parkhead club since joining from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016. During that time he has made 115 appearances for the Bhoys, scoring a hugely impressive 44 goals and providing 31 assists.
So far this season, the ex-Manchester City man has scored one and created three in 10 appearances but was left on the bench on Friday evening as Celtic pushed to break the deadlock. Now though, a huge 80 per cent of the Hoops fans that voted in our poll want him to start in the Europa League.
