Reports in The Scottish Sun last week suggested that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to reignite his summer interest in Iran international full-back Milad Mohammadi, who is also a target for Premier League side Watford.
While the 25-year-old has primarily played as a left-back throughout his career to date, he has featured as a right-back previously and he seems more likely to fill that role than on the other flank unless there are plans to cash in on Kieran Tierney.
If he did compete for a spot at right-back in the starting line-up, he would be up against Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa, both of whom are looking likely to leave the Glasgow giants when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
The former has come under criticism from his own supporters on Twitter for some of his performances this term, while the latter has only made 29 appearances in all competitions since joining the Scottish Premiership club in the summer of 2016.
We decided to ask Celtic fans to vote on our poll to see whether they would like to see Lustig and Gamboa sold in January if Mohammadi arrived at Parkhead, and a whopping 91% said they would as you can see from the results below.
It shows how much they feel the duo aren’t good enough for their club that they would rather see them sold to accommodate a player who usually plays on the left-hand side.
