Should Odsonne Edouard come straight back into the Celtic starting XI after his injury?

Odsonne Edouard picked up a knock in Celtic’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen on Saturday when Brendan Rodgers’ summer transfer target Scott McKenna flew into a tackle on the French striker that was left unpunished by¬†referee Bobby Madden.

Edouard spent last season on loan with Celtic before making his move from Paris Saint-Germain permanent this summer and so far this season the 20-year-old has netted four times in 13 appearances.

In recent weeks though Edouard has struggled to find the net and has been pushed out wide, while Leigh Griffiths has been on fire and has rescued the Bhoys with late goals on more than one occasion.

Rodgers’ side, who secured their famous double treble last season, have now only scored¬†five goals in their last six matches in all competitions and he will need to get at least one of his front men firing regularly if they are to defend their titles.

So, Celtic fans, do you think Edouard should come straight back into the side after his short injury layoff or is Griffiths the man of the moment right now? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
