As reported by The Independent, young Celtic starlet Karamoko Dembele is the subject of interest from both Manchester City and Chelsea, with Ajax also keen on the wonderkid.
The young prospect made headlines earlier this season when he appeared for Celtic’s U-20s Development Side, a level of football seven age groups above the player who is just 13 years old.
According to The Independent, Brendan Rodgers is taking a personal role in helping convince Dembele that his future lies at Celtic, with the manager pointing out he has more chance of making the first-team in Glasgow.
Described in the paper as Celtic’s “most talented prospect in a generation”, Dembele is still a long way from first-team football at any club. However, the Bhoys face a battle to hold onto a player attracting interest from all over Europe.
The paper also reports that Ajax are keeping tabs on the youngster, feeling they are best placed to aid his development.
The young midfielder initially attracted attention when the video above surfaced on YouTube showing him playing for Celtic in youth tournaments.
With skills and ability rarely seen, he had Celtic fans abuzz that they’d found a potential superstar.
The hype only got more intense when he was named as part of a Celtic’s U-20s selection this season, a move that made headlines around the world.

Also a Scottish youth international, Dembele was actually born in London and recently trained with the England U-15s set-up.
Hopefully all the speculation isn’t having an effect on the young starlet. But we’re certain it won’t go away with a tussle over his future likely to continue both at club and international level.
