Three defenders Celtic should sign in the January transfer window
Another transfer window is nearly upon us and almost every Celtic supporter is hoping that their club make a move to sign a central defender.
With numbers in the position low due to injury, players being played out of position and regular starters struggling for form, it’s an area that needs addressed more than ever, especially ahead of their Europa League Round of 32 tie against Zenit St Petersburg.
For too long Celtic have failed to address their defensive problems at European level and it’s something Brendan Rodgers must try and do something to fix next month.
There are a variety of ways to do that. They could opt to sign a more experience pro, sign a player showing glimpses of quality who is ready for a move to a bigger club or even make a loan move for a player with huge potential who is struggling to get first team action.
