After another dominant, treble-winning season, Celtic are heading into the summer transfer window in as strong as a position as ever.

Having qualified for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League two years straight, the resources available to them are at an all-time high, giving Brendan Rodgers room for manoeuvre in the transfer market.

This summer could well be one of transition for the first team squad, with Patrick Roberts leaving to go back to Manchester City and other important players like Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong also potential departures.

Roberts had a difficult second full season at the Hoops after picking up a lengthy hamstring injury, but his presence still needs replaced in the first team squad, with only James Forrest the real in-form winger at the club right now.

Here are THREE options that Brendan Rodgers should consider to help fill the Roberts void...

With 11 goals and four assists from Championship side Brentford this season, 22-year-old Ollie Watkins has emerged as one of the division's better wide players, helping his side to a 9th placed finish.

Averaging three shots, two key passes and three dribbles per game, according to WhoScored.com, he's posting some impressive numbers that demonstrate he's a player who loves to terrorise opposition defenders. In all three metrics, he's within the top six of players in the entire division.

If he can improve his end product and bag himself more goals and assists, he'll easily be approaching Premier League standard, so he's in the sweet spot for Celtic to strike a deal and bring him to Celtic Park, where they can help develop him into an elite player.

Predominately a player who excels on the left flank, he can also play through the middle and on the right, meaning he can compete with both Scott Sinclair and James Forrest for action.

Is he a rough diamond ready for the Brendan Rodgers polish?

First linked with Celtic way back when Patrick Roberts was set to leave the club initially last year, Chris Willock ultimately joined Benfica on a free transfer from Arsenal on the expiration of his contract.

The 20-year-old hasn't yet made an appearance for the club's first team, but has spent to season developing at the Benfica B team in the Portuguese second-tier, scoring three goals.

In January he was linked with a move to sides like Newcastle United and Leeds United on loan, with Benfica reportedly happy to send him out to gain more first team experience.

Where better to learn than at Celtic right now? Players work under an elite coach in Brendan Rodgers, gain exposure to European football and have to deal with the pressure of playing for a massive, expectant fanbase.

There's little risk from Celtic's point of view, who have obviously utilised loan moves well in recent years and need depth in the attacking midfield areas after not only Patrick Roberts left, but Charly Musonda's loan also collapsed.

Harry Wilson is a Liverpool prospect that, although failing to make an impact in the Anfield side's first team at 21 years of age, gained attention for a successful half-season on loan at Hull City in the Championship.

Scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 13 second-tier appearances, he demonstrated he has an incisive quality that could make him a big hit in the Scottish Premiership.

A reported target for new Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, the Hoops could steal a march on their city rivals and bring him to Celtic Park instead, as a direct replacement for the role Patrick Roberts played in the squad.
