Rangers fans are worried Steven Naismith will move elsewhere this January

As reported by the Daily Mail, Rangers aren’t the only club chasing the signature of Steven Naismith this January.

Craig Levein’s Hearts are also reportedly in the market to bring him back to Scottish football from the fringes of the Norwich City squad, leaving some Light Blues fans worried they’ll miss out on his return.

Rated at £3.6m by Transfermarkt, the Scotland international has struggled to fit in at the Canaries and appears destined to return to the league where he made his name before winning a big move to Everton in 2012.

The player was consistently an effective attacking force during his spell at Ibrox, winning trophies and scoring or assisting plenty of goals.

Now 31, he may not be at his peak but still has the talent and experience to shine in the Scottish Premiership and if Hearts manage to bring him to Tynecastle it would be seen as an ambitious move.

Rangers supporters still want him though, taking to Twitter to discuss his potential move to Edinburgh and pleading with manager Graeme Murty to sign him up…
