Celtic have already secured the services of Patryk Klimala this month but the Polish striker may not be the only new attacking recruit to walk through the doors at Celtic Park before the window slams shut.According to a recent report from Italian media outlet Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), Manchester City have contacted Celtic and offered them 19-year-old winger Ian Poveda. The two clubs have a strong history of concluding negotiations in the transfer market, with Olivier Ntcham, Daniel Arzani and Scott Sinclair all swapping Manchester for Glasgow in recent years.

Sinclair, in particular, was a resounding success at Paradise, but fans aren't convinced Poveda can emulate the star who notched 62 goals for the club.

Indeed, plenty of fans were underwhelmed by the club's link with the 19-year-old.

The main theme running through the negative reaction concerns the number of wingers Celtic already have in the squad.

Neil Lennon has Mohamed Elyounoussi, Daniel Arzani, Marian Shved, Jonny Hayes and James Forrest all available in wide positions, so it's easy to understand why fans can't see the logic behind a potential move.

Two other fans, meanwhile, suggested that he would be a wise addition for the Hoops.

Finally, though, there were murmurs of discontent from two more fans due to the English winger's lack of experience in the game.

Previous projects like Eboue Kouassi and Lewis Morgan have failed to make the grade at the club, and it seems some supporters want Lennon to move away from more unproven talents.
