Rangers are into the final 16 of the Europa League as Steven Gerrard's side defeated SC Braga on Wednesday night.

The Ibrox outfit won 1-0 courtesy of a Ryan Kent strike in Portugal to advance into the next round of the competition - arguably a historic achievement for the Gers boss as it is a feat last achieved in 2011.

It could have been even more comfortable had Ianis Hagi slotted home his penalty in the first half, but either way, the draw awaits the SPFL giants on Friday.

Plenty of fans have been reacting to the display on social media with centre-back George Edmundson coming in for raving reviews.

Here's what has been said...

So many waxed lyrical about the youngster's performance, one supporter claimed he was "class" and that he "could head bricks" while another believed he was "sensational."

It was not only his 12th appearance of the season but also the 12th time he has ever put on the blue shirt of Rangers, so these sorts of glowing verdicts only go to show the sort of impact he's had already.

The 22-year-old was also described as "a star in the making" and "outstanding."

His colossal-like displays have earned him very interesting accolades, such as being an IKEA wardrobe and a fridge.

Edmundson was even likened to Tyson Fury, presumably because of his height at 6 foot 3, just six inches shorter than the world champion boxer.

Loads of other fans would like to see him feature in the starting XI more regularly, especially over Nikola Katic, who fans absolutely slated last weekend after their draw to St Johnstone.
