Since suffering their first defeat of the season at the start of September against Celtic, Rangers have gone on a four-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Steven Gerrard’s side now find themselves second in the Scottish Premiership table, five points adrift of leaders Celtic.

The Gers are also performing well in cup competitions having reached the group stage of the Europa League and secured a 2-2 draw with Villarreal in their opener.

On Wednesday night, Gerrard also led the team to a 4-0 victory over Ayr United, which sent Rangers into the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.

Nikola Katic and Alfredo Morelos got on the scoresheet, while 18-year-old Glenn Middleton found the back of the net twice on his first competitive start for the club.

Shortly after booking their spot in the final four, Rangers learned that they will take on Aberdeen for a place in the showpiece.

Plenty of supporters feel very confident that their team will progress into the final to face either Hearts or Celtic.
