Rangers are sitting at the top of an extremely tight Group G in the Europa league after three games played, but Steven Gerrard's men will have a tough test away at Spartak Moscow on Thursday.

On the weekend, the Gers got back to winning ways after their League Cup semi-final defeat to Aberdeen and draw with Kilmarnock, although they left it late to beat St Mirren away from home.

Gerrard started with Eros Grezda and Liverpool loanee Ryan Kent on either wing at St Mirren Park, but he needed the introduction of Portuguese winger Daniel Candeias to change the game.

The 30-year-old was brought on in the 55th minute for Grezda and, with 10 minutes to go, the 5ft 10in ace hit an unstoppable shot that dipped over keeper Craig Samson and broke the deadlock.

His exuberant celebrations with the Gers fans earned him a yellow card, and after Alfredo Morelos made the result safe in the 92nd minute, Candeias was shown a second yellow and sent off for seemingly no apparent reason.

Candeias has divided opinion during his time at Rangers but he has been in superb form under Gerrard and, as his red card will not affect the Europa League, he should surely start away in Moscow to add an injection of quality to break down the stubborn Spartak defence.

So, Rangers fans, we want to know whether you agree and if you would start him on Thursday. Have your say by voting in the poll below.
