HYS: Should Rangers have kept Josh Windass?

Loads of Rangers fans have been having their say on the departure of Josh Windass, but was it a mistake to sell the 24 year-old?

You’d be hard pushed to find a more divisive figure at Ibrox than Windass, who completely split opinion amongst fans during his two seasons with the Gers.

The former Accrington Stanley ace has shown glimpses of huge potential, but never really seems up for the fight.

The club has done some excellent business so far this summer, and fans have been particularly impressed by the likes of Nikola Katic and Lassana Coulibaly.

However, Gerrard has also lost a couple of players, with Windass and Declan John both departing on deadline day.

Windass is a particularly odd case, because he was the club’s second leading scorer last season.

Goals are hugely important in any title race, and it certainly feels like Gerrard could regret dumping him, especially if Alfredo Morelos hits a dry spell up front.

So, Rangers fans, what do you think? Was it a mistake to sell the man who scored 13 league goals last season? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
