Charlie Adam has been told he can leave Stoke City in January, so should Rangers make a swoop for the 32 year-old midfielder?
According to The Stoke Sentinel, Adam will be allowed to leave the Potters in 2019 if the price is right.
The experienced midfielder made just three Championship appearances this season, and Gary Rowett has spoken pretty openly about the possibility of selling Adam.
“The reality is, he’s a player that wants to play football and he hasn’t had the opportunity to do that, so of course he’s going to want to play more regularly,” the Stoke boss said.
“Even in the summer we were open to that and there wasn’t the right opportunity for him.”
Given Adam’s age, lack of match fitness, and the fact that he will be out of contract next summer, the Gers could bring their former star back for a nominal fee.
Adam made 61 league appearances during his six-year stay at Ibrox, and his experience, leadership, and knowledge of the game could help both the young players at Rangers and even the gaffer himself, who played with the Scotsman at Liverpool.
So, Rangers fans, would you back a move for Adam? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
