Rangers suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock on Wednesday night in a result which left the prospect of clinching the SPFL title as something of a pipe dream.

Celtic are now ten points clear at the summit of the division and Steven Gerrard's side look unlikely to bridge that gap on current form.

And, in the aftermath of proceedings, the fans were quick to point out the players who absolutely need to step up and start showing their worth on the pitch.

One of them was also Joe Aribo, the 23-year-old who failed to influence the game against Kilmarnock.

Many of them were calling for him to be dropped in the future alongside a couple more players.

The young midfielder, who is valued at £1.17m by Transfermarkt, is starting to frustrate fans as they feel he's not offering them anything on the pitch - one fan even called him a passenger at best.

Another supporter also said he is too inconsistent and that it might be Gerrard's fault for failing to motivate or properly prepare them for matches.

Finally, there were some fans who think this could be a mentality problem rather than pure skill and talent of the player.

One fan suggested Aribo is a player who is simply lacking that winning mentality and one other stated that he doesn't' really have a match-winning streak about him.

He will have to step up...
