Rangers are in talks to sign Manchester City youngster Kean Bryan according to The Daily Mail.

What's the story?

The 21-year-old is a product of the Manchester City academy and has spent the past two seasons out on loan, first at Bury and then with Oldham.

The defender had an impressive stint at the Latics, making 32 appearances and he was named the club's Young Player of the Season.

Steven Gerrard is now hoping to make Bryan his 11th signing of the summer as the versatile youngster can help out in defence and midfield.

Is he worth it?

Bryan is valued at £225,000 on Transfermarkt, but it would take significantly more than that for Rangers to prise the youngster from Manchester City.

He will be a useful player for Gerrard to use wherever he sees fit, and Bryan should relish the opportunity to test himself against higher quality opposition after failing to break into the Manchester City first team.
