Jamie Murphy made his long-awaited return from injury yesterday as he completed 25 minutes in Rangers' 4-0 demolition of Marseille, and the supporters loved seeing one of their favourites return.

Murphy suffered a serious ACL injury back in August of last year, against Kilmarnock in an eventual 3-1 win. He has spent the last 11 months out rehabilitating.

The 29-year-old started his Rangers career on fire after moving from Brighton in a loan with an option to buy deal in the January before Steven Gerrard came to Ibrox. He scored five times and added ten assists in his first 19 games for the Gers.

The winger has been linked with a move to Blackpool as manager Simon Grayson is a fan of the 29-year-old, but the report says he is "desperate" to make his dream move to his boyhood club a success.
