As reported by The Daily Mail, Rangers are interested in signing Allan McGregor this summer, reportedly offering a two-year deal to the Hull City goalkeeper.
The 36-year-old Scotland international is currently number one at Hull, but with his contract up at the end of the season, Rangers are looking to capitalise say the paper.
The shot-stopper won multiple trophies with the club during his first spell, eventually leaving in 2012 after financial meltdown allowed him to move to Besiktas on a free transfer.
He certainly has the quality and personality to be a success again at Ibrox, but with Wes Foderingham already in place between the sticks, should they make a move for him?
Fans appear convinced that they should, believing he’d be an upgrade on Foderingham and win crucial points for the team in their bid to chase down Celtic next season.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the potential signing…
Allan McGregor would be a smart signing for Rangers this summer.
He’s still a good keeper – arguably far better than Wes – and helps us out with UEFA homegrown rules – European qualification permitting.

Definitely welcome Allan McGregor back. Hopefully it goes through no bother.
Playing at a high level, and streets ahead Foderingham; at 36 he's in prime goalkeeping years.

I'd take Allan McGregor back in a heartbeat, Fod is a good shot stopper but his positioning and distribution is terrible at times, can't command a box, flaps at balls launched in. Good keeper but can't handle the pressure.

Mgregor is playing at a higher standard now than wes did in England and 36 is fine for a keeper. Not having a go at wes at all, he's done his best but if true thanks, good bye and good luck. Mgregor no1 and Alnwick or Kelly no 2.

If can sell Wes for money they we can use to bolster defence and get a free replacement in McGregor then that's a great piece of business IMO

Great signing. We should have signed Craig gordon when we had the chance. 36 is no age for a goalie.

Massive upgrade if true, no disrespect to Wes, but Shagger is worth 10-15 points a season easily.

I think big Wes is a no bad keeper bit suspect sometimes,Allan McGregor is a different level to Wes 100%. Need to build a solid spine to our starting 11 and he’s a decent start. Would love to see Steven Davis back at the club 💙🇬🇧
