Rangers fans are eager to sign Jason Cummings

As reported by The Daily Mail, Rangers are showing January interest in Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings.

The ex-Hibernian star moved to England during the summer transfer window but has so far failed to replicate the kind of scoring that made him a massive hit at Easter Road.

The Mail say that the Light Blues are hoping to capitalise and divert resources freed up by Carlos Pena’s loan move to Cruz Azul to potentially make a move.

Rated at £900k by Transfermarkt, Cummings has a strong scoring record north of the border and likely has the quality to be a success in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers fans are certainly keen on the move, with some believing that he can play a similar role for the Ibrox side to what Leigh Griffiths currently provides for Celtic.

Is he the kind of striker that Graeme Murty should be moving for this month?
