Andy Halliday filled in at left-back for Rangers in their 3-0 win over East Fife, and the fans hope it'll be the last time he does so after a poor individual performance.

The 27-year-old led the Gers out in the League Cup second round tie with the League One side, but it's safe to say fans weren't impressed with their captain on the day.

Steven Gerrard's men cruised to a 3-0 victory over the third-tier opposition even with the underperforming Halliday at left-back. Goals from Jermain Defoe, Filip Helander and Joe Aribo means they'll travel to Livingston in the quarter-finals of the League Cup next month.

Despite the comfortable win, the fans weren't happy with the makeshift defender as he struggled to impress against part-time opposition. Normally a midfielder, the former Bradford man has often featured at left-back, covering for the out-of-sorts Borna Barisic.
