Rangers suffered another humiliating defeat at the hands of Celtic on Sunday, demolished 4-0 at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
It was a desperately disappointing day for Light Blues supporters, who have again been left wondering about the future direction of the club.
Manager Graeme Murty now looks unlikely to stay on as boss at Ibrox meaning the club could be embarking on yet another new era this summer.
Fans reckon Murty got things massively wrong against the Hoops tactically, pointing to how he utilised Ross McCrorie as a key example.
The youngster started at centre-back and failed to deal with the threat of Moussa Dembele all afternoon before eventually being sent off for hauling the Frenchman down in the penalty box, which led to the Hoops’ third goal.
Supporters believe not starting him in midfield instead was a huge error and now want to see him in that position or not at all after his calamitous defensive display.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
As for McCrorie he had a mare but he’s young, just returned from a long absence and will certainly improve. I’m not sure I see him as a CB but maybe that’s just me, looked far better as a DM and that’s where he should have been today imo.

McCrorie is a defensive mid not a centre half! Him and docherty is the only 2 that put half a shift in today. Absolute embarrassment! Get Murty so far to fuck

Not basing this solely on today but Ross McCrorie at CB is bang average!
Play him CDM or not at all

Mccrorie HAD to play DM today – so obvious and that’s his position. He loses concentration to quickly and isn’t a defender. Covers plenty of ground and should have sat in front of the CB’s today.

Hope McCrorie makes it as a DM because on this showing he's never going to be a CB. Total shambles & this could be hunners.

Why he never started with Alves at the back and McCrorie in the midfield I’ll never know, Halliday shouldn’t have played at all today, just shows the lack of knowledge Murty has, poor state of affairs lads 😢

Ross McCrorie has the potential to be a cracking holding midfielder but today showed he is far too lightweight to play centre half in Scotland

Baffling why murty continues to play McCrorie at centre half, best holding midfielder we have
