Loads of Rangers fans have been running the rule over their defeat to Aberdeen, and they’re really fed up of summer signing Jon Flanagan.

Flanagan looked the perfect fit for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers revolution when he first joined, as the hard-working full back can get the crowd on its feet with just one crunching tackle.

His lack of quality on the ball has been sorely exposed though, and he had yet another poor performance against Aberdeen on Wednesday.

The Dons won at Ibrox for just the second time in nearly three decades courtesy of Scott McKenna’s early goal, and while there’s plenty of blame going Alfredo Morelos’ way, Flanagan is taking the most stick.

The 25 year-old is just so poor on the ball, and fans are quite literally counting down the days until Borna Barisic returns to full fitness.

Most of Gerrard’s summer signings have been hugely successful, particularly in defence, but the Flanagan revival project has been an absolute disaster.
