Rangers were in fine form on Sunday afternoon as they sealed a routine 3-0 victory over East Fife at New Bayview.

The win meant that Steven Gerrard's men sealed their passage into the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals as Jermain Defoe, Filip Helander and Joe Aribo got on the scoresheet.

Aribo was one of the players who made a real difference as he grabbed a late goal which all but wrapped up the performance.

The BBC described the midfielder as a "natural class act full of flair and industry," in their report after the game, summing up the impressive showing he put in.

And it appears as though Rangers fans agreed with that assessment, lauding the 23-year-old on Twitter.

One supporter went as far as saying he'd win the 2020 Ballon d'Or whilst another thought he could be their player of the season.

A further fan said he was fantastic as he was also described as a beautiful human being.

Aribo is a new signing at Ibrox, moving to Rangers from Charlton over the summer. He's already shown impressive strides, scoring three times in Europa League qualifying.

This, however, was his first domestic goal for his new side.

Here are some of the glowing plaudits Aribo received.
