Loads of Rangers fans have been reacting to Thursday’s Europa League defeat, and they can’t quite believe how bad Connor Goldson was.
Rangers were on the wrong end of an absolutely thrilling encounter on Thursday night, losing 4-3 in Moscow.
Spartak got a 0-0 draw from Ibrox in the return fixture, and the Russian outfit are now level on points with the Gers with two games to go.
It looked to be the perfect away performance at first, as an own goal gave Steven Gerrard’s side an early lead.
Daniel Candeias answered immediately after the hosts equalised, only for Goldson to score at the wrong end to make it 2-2.
Glenn Middleton then scored his first European goal to give the Gers a half time lead, but the defending in the second half was truly shambolic.
Luiz Adriano and Sofiane Hanni scored after the break to make it 4-3, and Goldson really should have done better for both goals.
The 25 year-old was exceptional at the beginning of the season, but fans are absolutely crucifying his recent performances.

I’d be saying to McAuley and Worral that they will start the next 2 games, go out and make the shirt yours.
Goldson started off brilliant but I think Is either tired or is believing his own hype and let his standards slip.
Katic needs built back up, his confidence is gone.

Goldson is too bloody casual. That own goal tonight sums him up. Lazy outside of the foot attempt. Katic’s confidence has been harmed by no-one except Gerrard. He should never have been dropped

Goldsons form has dipped alarmingly past 6 or 7 weeks

Goldson is terrible. Katic by far our best defender, even though he had a mare 2nd half. In tougher games Tav needs left out. If he offers nothing going forward then he’s a man down.

Goldson has been dreadful. All this talk of us being lucky to hold onto him etc.. He has been shocking lately but so has Tav & Flanagan

That OG was embarrassing. Amazes me how many players try 2 clear a ball with the wrong foot inside 6yrd box

He was a complete bombscare.

Full back 4 was actually a riot. Tav was a complete and utter nightmare. Goldson and Katic looked like they’ve never played football before. Flanagan got turned that much he morphed into a fidget spinner by the end. pic.twitter.com/x5DvGQxYGQ

Goldson has probably been our worst player since that slip away to Motherwell months ago, genuinely a big bomb scare
