Steven Davis caught the eye of the Rangers supporters during their 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.

The 34-year-old played the first hour of the friendly in Steven Gerrard's 4-3-3 formation and he certainly impressed. The Northern Irishman looked good alongside Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield in the heart of the midfield.

It took the English side just five minutes to score in the absence of Davis though, with Lewis Travis levelling the score at 1-1 on 65 minutes. Jermain Defoe had put the Gers a goal up with his first-half strike, but without the Northern Ireland captain Gerrard's men were pegged back.

The ex-Southampton skipper signed on a permanent deal this summer having joined on loan from the Premier League side in January.
