Rangers failed to beat Hibernian at Easter Road in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, drawing 5-5 in an extraordinary game that ensured the Light Blues would not finish second in the table.
Finding themselves three goals down, the Light Blues rallied to equalise the game before going on to make it a 5-3 scoreline. However, Hibs scored two late goals, including one in stoppage time, to rescue a point.
Rangers fans didn’t know what to make of the performance with their players delighting and frustrating in equal measure.
One player who did stand out was midfielder Jordan Rossiter, who marked his return to the starting eleven with an excellent display in the middle of the park.
Unfortunately for the 21-year-old, he ended up having to exit the game with some sort of injury on the 68th minute.
His time at Ibrox has been blighted by fitness issues but fans were impressed enough with his Easter Road performance to give them hope for the future.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Tell you something rossiter would be some player if he could keep fit bossed that midfield today

I really hope Rossiter just had a bit of cramp and feeling some tiredness in his legs. He was brilliant today after so long out. Baller.

All these ppl that keep saying we need to cut our loses and let Rossiter go need to have a bit of patience. I’m confident we can get it fit and then he’s got a massive future ahead of him!

Rossiter telling everyone to keep the head when we go 3-3 and then motivating everyone when going off the pitch injured. Guys 21 n has all the qualities of a leader. Keep him injury free n will grow under gerrard

IF Rossiter can get fit & stay fit, he’s Gerrard’s captain next season! Big IF though

Such a shame about rossiter, genuinely think he could be an absolute machine of a midfielder.

Really hope rossiter is ok, could be great for us next season!
