Steven Gerrard had a huge task on his hands when he took over as Rangers manager in the summer.
The 38-year-old’s only coaching experience was at Liverpool’s youth academy before he accepted the job at Ibrox.
Nevertheless, the former England international has slotted in well and has certainly won over the supporters.
In 16 matches in all competitions, Rangers have lost just twice, although one of those was against newly-promoted Scottish Premiership side Livingston.
The supporters were furious with the banana skin result, but the team made up for it on Thursday night when they overcame Europa League opponents Rapid Vienna 3-1.
Rangers went a goal down in the first half at Ibrox, but Alfredo Morelos pulled one back before half-time.
In the 84th minute, club captain James Tavernier slotted home from the penalty spot to give the hosts the lead.
Morelos rounded it off by scoring his second of the night in the final few minutes of the encounter.
After watching Gerrard’s post-match press conference, plenty of Rangers fans hailed their talisman.
