Steven Gerrard’s Rangers swept Dundee aside on Saturday, and it’s fair to say fans are in high spirits.

As if Celtic dropping points on Friday night wasn’t good enough already, the Gers made light work of the visit of Dundee, scoring three times in the first half.

Lassana Couliably, Ryan Kent and James Tavernier were all on the scoresheet, and Middleton got the goal his performance deserved when he reacted first to a scramble in the box.

The young winger has stunned fans so far this season with his direct style of place, speed and positivity, so if he starts adding goals to his game he may just become an Ibrox hero.

The 18 year-old was brought to the club by Graeme Murty, but Gerrard has unleashed him and fans are loving it.
